Cimbria - 1883
Description
CIMBRIA-1883 is a concept album by musicians and composers Bork and Marcator. It is based on the story of the vessel ‘Cimbria, which sank on the way from Hamburg to New York in 1883. In cooperation with diver Andi Peters, who recovered parts of the ship, 20 songs were produced which deal with the fate of the passengers and the ship. Famous musicians (including members of the German folk-pop band ‘Godewind’) and the well-known actor Uwe Friedrichsen can be heard on the album.
