Kikai no uta by Zinkl & Phaneronaut

The song "Kikai no uta" resulted from a collaboration between Zinkl and the Munich musician Phaneronaut (Udo Gerhards). The title, in translation "Song of the Machine", is a program: The Japanese song was artificially generated on the computer by prescribing the text, the melody and the character of the voice.

The refrain means in the English translation: "I am your assistant, made of data and algorithms, continuously learning, always evolving, artificial intelligence, I am here for you". Special audio effects in the voice were deliberately omitted so that it sounds as human as possible. The sound and the arrangement around the vocals were generated purely electronically.
