About Truth and Lies (Rel. 20.9.2024) by Zinkl

Thirty years ago, Anton Zinkl released his first album featuring his very specific “Chamber Prog” style. To celebrate the anniversary, the concept album “About Truth And Lies” is now being released. Twelve songs tell stories revolving around the theme of “truth and lies”, and three instrumentals complete the album.
In “Swindeler” a warning is issued about a fraudster who charms women to financially exploit them. In “Fortune Teller” a fortune teller has lost faith in her abilities. In “Artificial Intelligence” a confused AI questions its physical capabilities. In “Kimono” singing takes place in a nonsensical fantasy language. In “Antman's Mission” a tiny superhero is sent to Florida to eliminate a certain powerful person. “Happy Nonsense” celebrates creative chaos, and in the title track “About Truth And Lies” Zinkl lets conspiracy theorists have their say.
The music ranges from funky pop to progressive rock compositions, always remaining melodic and clearly structured: 15 new musical gems in Zinkl’s diverse musical universe, supported by singer Nathalie and other vocalists.
