About
Once a punk - always a punk!
They never had it easy, they were always as controversial as they were beloved by some, they often enough got in their own way. Since 1981 they have hardly left out anything that rock'n'roll has in store for its protagonists in terms of temptations and traps, and accordingly they have fallen on their noses time and again. But they have remained true to themselves, their fans and their ideals. And that's exactly why they are still the (not so) secret punk rock pride of the south: LustfingeR, the band from Munich's Glasscherbenviertel Hasenbergl, which, from the early 80s onwards, railed against the smooth zeitgeist with a mixture of melodic punk and dirty rock'n'roll that was as snotty as it was charming, and found friends all over Europe and, on three US club tours, even in America. In the process, they accompanied bands like: The Exploited, U.K. Subs, Toy Dolls, The Pogues, The Ramones, 999, Peter & The Test Tube Babies and many more. Over the years they have created a number of classics, chart and party hits of German punk rock: "Bitte lieber Staatsanwalt", "Mami und Papi", "Hey Baby", "Niemals vergessen" or their anthem for 1860 Munich, "Löwenmut".
The radar of the Zeitgeist (Spirit) has lost sight of LustfingeR every now and then, but for the true German punk rock fans in the Republic they have long been a cult. Yet it is one man in particular who keeps the cult phenomenon LustfingeR going: Co-founder, guitarist, singer and main songwriter Tom Fock.
As powerful and strong as never before they prove again that German Punk Rock is hot like never before and German Punk Rock is still alive!
Not only lyrically full of wit and bite, but also loud, rough and without frills, the songs combine all the typical, credible LustfingeR qualities. The quintessence of many years of LustfingeR - and thus also of many years of lived German Punk'n'Roll!
In 2021 they celebrated their 40th anniversary and because of the Corona crisis the new album, celebration and tour was postponed to 2022.
In 2023, they released what was probably their best album simply under the title "LustfingeR". They then went on a major tour of Germany and the original members of Lustfinger are currently reuniting for a special album, so it will be interesting to see what happens.
