About
Sacco & Mancetti was founded in 1986 by five young wild ones in Regensburg, Southern Germany. From the very beginning the band´s main goals were original songs and an original sound, and they managed within no time to gather a large family of fans around them, far outside the borders of East Bavaria.
The “discovery” of the band took place in 1990. Thomas Gottschalk, who had introduced the band in his radio show, drew a Chrysalis A&R manager´s attention towards their potential. The result wasSacco & Mancetti`s first LP which included the radio hit “Rainbow´s End”, followed by extensive concert tours throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
After the second album for Chrysalis the band worked together with various active indie labels and released six more records.
Sacco & Mancetti are among the few German rock bands whose continuous development and true substance can be observed over a longer period. Clearly matured and after some change of personnel the band enthrals its fans today by a wild joy of playing, instrumental expertise and a sound, whose roots rest in the romanticism of the restless sixties and the guitars of the wild seventies.
All the members of the band have a full-time civil job but their hearts are beating for the band. And don´t you hear that!!!
After the big success of “Memphis”, the album they recorded in Memphis, Tennessee, USA the SACCOS recorded their next album “Supersonic” at tradition filled CAN Studio, Cologne/Weilerswist under co-operation of recording engineer René Tinner and with guest musicians like Helmut Zerlett and Jim Capaldi.
Finally Sacco & Mancetti release „Hightime" in May of 2016 – their long awaited album no. 10. Each and every track was recorded in Spain and mixed in the U.K. and heard all over the world
