About

Born in Landsberg am Lech in 1985, Michael began his musical career at the age of seven, singing in the children's choir and drumming in the percussion group. At the age of eleven, Michael discovered the piano and quickly realized that he wanted to become a film composer. In 2011, the town of Landsberg awarded him the Cultural Promotion Prize for his music for the play “Harold and Maude”. From 2014-2017, he studied “Composition for Film and Media” at the University of Music in Munich with Gerd Baumann.
Since his studies are not only focused on film, but also on media of all kinds, Lauterbach produces music for a wide variety of projects, be it for concerts, theater, radio plays, trailers, image films or advertising.
