Not for nothing is the ever-rising phoenix their symbol, because when it all started about 17 years ago, IRXN was the first band to dare the balancing act between age-old Bavarian rhythms, like the Zwiefachen, and Irish Celtic melodies, creating a completely new universe of melodies and lyrics.
IRXN is impulsive and cheerful, yet with an enchanting sensitivity. It was like that and it has remained like that. The only thing that has changed is the line-up. More powerful and colorful, IRXN paints musical paintings in the new seven-piece line-up. At the same time, everything always remains original, authentic and yet tells stories in which everyone can find themselves.
In addition to hundreds of club and festival gigs, they made the festival Mediaval, the Tollwood, the Bardentreffen or the TFF in Rudolstadt, among others, shake and played various appearances on TV and radio. IRXN was protagonist of the feature film Bavaria Vista Club and wrote the title song for the successful feature film Alpgeister. The basis, the crucible, of a completely distinctive sound life is the power and presence of this band.
With over two million streams on Spotify alone, IRXN presents in June 2022, the new album "Gierig und Geil". The single release of the track "Innocence" will be a new highlight in the successful history of IRXN and is a must for every HardFolk fan.
The new song is about the eternal question of innocence and sin, which already occupied Goethe: Is sin true freedom? Or does it inevitably lead to ruin?
