The song "Frozen Tears" is based on a New Zealand legend. Hine Hukatere is a Maori goddess of the mountains who falls in love with a man. When he dies, she cries many tears of grief and freezes them into a crystal mountain, which is supposed to be an eternal reminder of her great love. The name of the goddess is repeated mantra-like in the piece, the beat reminiscent of a heartbeat.
