Benedikt Jahnel (piano/composition) 25 years old from Geretsried near Munich. Music student at the University for the Arts in Berlin with Hubert Nuß and David Friedman. Member of the NationalYouthJazzOrchestra under the direction of Peter Herbolzheimer. Scholarship holder of the Kulturstiftung Rhein-Neckar-Kreis and the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). Studied in the Masterprogram of City College in New York with John Patitucci, Garry Dial and Adam Cruz. Compositions and arrangements for the Metropol Orchestra (Holland), Pophorn Bigband (Finnland). First Price at "New Generation" - Jazzaward Straubing (2001). First Price at "Möbus Award" - Berlin (2004). Privat lessons with John Taylor, Richie Beirach etc…. Concerts with the Harald Rüschenbaum JazzOrchestra, the Summit JazzOrchestra, Henning Sieverts, Cyminology, The Russ Spiegel Bigband, Peter Weniger, Festivals: Jazz an der Donau, Kemptener Jazztage, Görlitzer Jazztage, City Jazz Night Braunschweig... touring: Russia, Rumania, South Corea. Since 2003 course of study Mathematik at the TU-Berlin.
Benny Schäfer (double-bass) 22 years old from Geretsried near Munich. Music student since October 2000 at the University for the Arts in Berlin with professor Sigi Busch. Member of the NationalYouthJazzOrchestra under the direction of Peter Herbolz-heimer. Studied privately with Henning Sieverts, Pepe Berns etc..
Andi Haberl (drums) 20 years old Holzhausen near Munich. Member of the NationalYouthJazz-Orchestra under the direction of Peter Herbolzheimer. Distinguished with the Arithmeum-Prize, given at the National Meeting of “JugendJazzt" in Erfurt by the German Council of Music in May 2001. Studied privately with John Riley, Wolfgang Haffner, Dave Weckl etc….Concerts with Charlie Mariano, Klaus Doldinger, Till Brönner, Emil Mangelsdorff, Roman Schwaller, Johannes Faber, Thomas Stabenow, Henning Sieverts, Jörg Reiter, Adrian Mears, Roberto di Gioia, Patrick Scales, Herman Breuer...
