The title “Ship of Fools” has a mystical and mysterious Gothic & Celtic touch from the very first notes, which immediately and inevitably casts a spell over the listener and takes him/her on a magical journey. The accentuated downtempo grooves also give “Ship of Fools” a very special flair. The lyrics, also written by Bernd Scholl, describe in a very cryptic way an imaginary journey on a ghost ship that sails in the moonlight across the world's oceans towards the end of the world, the limit of time and the point of no return. (...perhaps the text shows parallels to our current world view...?!)
