Poetic, joyful and painful. As on his debut album “Geäußerte innere Angelegenheiten”, JANUS M. does not try to hide his melancholy mood here either. And so the extraordinary declarations of love (“Die Handschrift meiner Frau”, “Die Insel meines Vertrauens”) are joined by profound thoughts about finiteness and human fragility (“Alles hat zwei Seiten”, “Krisenmodus”). It is obvious that nostalgia also plays a role in the title. In combination with the poignant, sometimes stirring compositions by Rüdiger Gleisberg, the result is a unique literary and musical gem.
