“Herr Mannelig” has already been recorded by countless bands, but IRXN has now come up with new lyrics and a completely different arrangement.

This may offend traditionalists, but open-minded listeners are sure to like it. The song originally comes from Nordic folklore and is the legend of the hero Mr. Mannelig and a female troll.  IRXN has now combined this with the legend of the witch “Frau Hitt” from the Karwendel mountains. The result is a particularly exciting story that captivates the listener to the very end. While the troll tries to win over the young man with all kinds of temptations, he resists her and rejects her. Furious at this, the trolless turns to stone. This rock formation can still be recognized today in the Karwendel mountains as the mountain “Frau Hitt”
